Sixdoku for Playdate

About the Game

Sixdoku is a logic puzzle game for the Playdate console. It is a variant of Sudoku played on a 6x6 grid.

The game offers four difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Intermediate, Hard) and four piece styles (Numbers, Letters, Poker suits, Chess pieces). Additional styles are unlocked by completing levels.

Progress and completed levels are saved automatically.

How to Play

The Rules

• Fill every cell in the 6x6 grid.
• Each row must contain the symbols 1-6 exactly once.
• Each column must contain the symbols 1-6 exactly once.
• The grid is divided into six 3x2 regions. Each region must also contain 1-6 exactly once.

Controls

Input	Action
D-pad	Move the cursor
Crank	Cycle through available symbols
A button	Place the selected symbol in the current cell
B button	Add the selected symbol to the cell's draft (pencil marks)
Menu button	Open the menu to submit, restart, or access How to Play

Submitting

When you believe the puzzle is complete, open the Menu and choose Submit. If all cells are filled correctly, the puzzle is marked as solved. Otherwise you will get feedback and can keep trying.

When all cells are filled, the game will also prompt you to check via the crank.

Tip: Crank Sensitivity

If the crank feels too easy to overshoot, try holding the Playdate in the half-undocked position for finer control.

Notes

• Levels unlock sequentially within each difficulty. Complete level N to unlock level N+1.
• Styles unlock after completing 5 levels in their associated difficulty tier.
